Letter received from the Porsche Club Isle of Man...
Dear Sir/Madam

The Isle of Man region of the Porsche Club Great Britain celebrates its 10th Year Anniversary this year and has a spectular event planned to mark the occasion.

To mark our tenth year we are holding an Ace Cafe-style classic and sports car gathering on Sunday 16 May 2010. The venue for the gathering is the famous TT Grandstand in Douglas, Isle of Man. The event is open to all, although we are looking to attract as many vehicles of interest as possible.

In order to achieve our goal of attracting an exciting and eclectic mix of vehicles I do need your help. I would be most grateful if you could forward the details of this event to your Isle of Man resident members. In order for us to plan and organise the event, and make sure everything runs smoothly, it would be very helpful to know how many people and vehicles to expect on the day.

Accordingly, if you would kindly ask that any members interested in coming along contact me at this email address we stand the best possible chance of creating a spectacular event.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to help us on this, it is much appreciated.

Best regards

David

Due to the success of this years weekend tour and by request we are going to organise another weekend in North Wales next year, but, in a different location with different things to do and see to the last one. I have booked another top class Hotel, The Royal Oak in Betws-y-Coed which has a choice of bedrooms, so, you can up-grade to Deluxe or Premier if you wish (see booking form).

The event will take the following format:-
Depart Friday 23 April on 7.30 am ferry to Liverpool, followed by a scenic road run to the hotel in central Betws-y-Coed. After checking in to the hotel you will have free time in the afternoon, i.e. you can have a look around the town, visit the Conwy Rail Museum, visit the magnificent Swallow Falls, or visit the Dolwyddelan Castle, before a relaxing cocktail before dinner.

Saturday 24 April after breakfast I will organise a scenic morning tour which will finish in Caernarfon where you will have free time to do as you wish i.e. visit the famous Castle, go shopping, take a trip on the completed West Highland Railway or do your own thing. I will organise a scenic tour back to the hotel in late afternoon, then in the evening you can again have cocktails before Dinner.

Sunday 25th April after a late breakfast there will be a short scenic tour along the Vale of Conwy before returning to the hotel for Sunday lunch and then depart the hotel to catch the ferry home.

Unfortunately the cost has increased from last year, but, only by £20 pp

I enclose a booking form if you wish to go; I require the form to be returned with a  deposit of £120 per booking as soon as possible, but, no later than 1st August 2009,
As I have to pay the deposit to the hotel.

Please note There are a limited number of rooms so places will be allocated on first come first served basis.

Please return the booking form and deposit to me:-

I know it is a long way off, but, in order to secure this top class Hotel we have to book early for a group. I hope you understand.
